Well done - some very happy blogging going on; you're ALL doing really well now.

Top blogspots are taken by Beaty, Goli, Hannah, Henry, Jerome, Josh C, Keena, Rachel S, Rachel C, Lu and Sameer.

Josh M and Sam - both blogs starting to take shape and looking good.

Tessa and Emma - leave me a message as soon as you have a live case study up and I'll check you're going in the right direction.

Don't forget homework; we're moving on to other things next Wednesday morning (going over past papers, watching videos) so you need to get your blogs and your last lot of reading (A33-44) out of the way this week.

12C start of new term message

Hello, not so sunny today but keep your spirits up - summer's on its way!

Lloads of progress made in recent days by Rob, Clare, Zoe, Kirsty , Ryan, Jazzi, Gee, Jenny and Jasmine. Zahra, Mishael and and Nina all achieved a lot in the holidays too, as did Paul and Nat.

So well done so far everybody! Plenty left to do though.

The best blogs name specific examples, are in your own words, directly answer the 5 questions, explicitly identify the relevant key concepts and include proper analysis.

The weaker blogs use promotional language or endless lists of detailed features as if its a sales pitch. They don't explicitly reference named examples, and avoid analysis and explicit use of theory. They rely on lots of lots of copy/paste. They are way too detailed with loads of irrelevant information that you will never need to use in your exam.

The best examples after a final look this morning are: Mishael's, Jazzi's, Clare's, Nina's, Paul's, and Zoe's. Ryan and Zahra's are getting close. If your name hasn't been mentioned, scrutinise your blog closely and think about where you might be going wrong. You will get a chance to reflect on this and develop your work further this week. Use the above pointers as a guide to help you.

12E Message: Happy Summer Days!!

The start of a new term and the sun is shining! And so much blogging in the last couple of days - wow! Looking forward to seeing you all in the lesson today.

Make sure you check my messages regularly and individual comments too.

Successful 12E bloggers from the last few days include Rachel S and Rachel C, Keena, Louise, Hannah, Henry, Josh C, Jerome and Sameer. Most of you have made tons of progress and have finished or are close to finishing.

Goli and Beaty are also close to finishing; as I write this I can see Goli posting something!!

Emma and Tessa - I'm still concerned at how much is left to do. Thanks for keeping in touch Tessa.

Josh M - You may well have done plenty of work but no evidence of blogging for weeks now.

Sam - still nothing since 27th March, what's going on??

Apart from case studies, we have key concepts to finish, 2 videos to watch and make notes on, and we need to start working on practice exam TIMINGS soon. We're very close to finishing though!!

Easter message from Ms Blackborow

Happy Easter to all my new teckkies out there!! Happy skiing for some of you - no broken bones please!

A pat on the back to those of you catching up after absence - Josh C and Jazzi - well done.

And the same to those of you who have uploaded loads of work recently, you said you would and you did! That's particularly Rachel S and Rachel C - great stuff going on there with you 2. Also Paul the same, although still lots to do, so keep up the good work.

Others making great strides recently include Jasmine, Sameer, Nina, Beaty, Clare and Nat. These look to be finished or getting very close; a credit to you and so useful to revise from in the coming weeks. Well done. Zoe, Hannah, Kirsty, Zahra and Goli - masses done on yours too, such good quality work here as well, well done. All of you should aim to finish very soon.

Thanks to those of you who have communicated with me recently - Keena and Henry I know you have things under control and I look forward to seeing your blogs in a few days.

Lou, Ryan, Jenny, Gee and Mishael - you clearly all got stuck in at various times over the previous 3 weeks, but little action for a week or more now. You won't get your blog finished in time if you don't make some progress quickly. If there is anything to prevent you making progress, then I need to know about it.

Sam - only one case study up on your blog - what's going on??

Rob - I still have concerns but have faith that you will stick to your word and upload everything and finish in the 2nd week when you get back from holiday

Many of you have individual comments which you need to check.

Very little or no evidence of any work from the following people, despite reassurances from you last week that you would get it sorted - Emma, Jerome, Tessa, Josh M - I'm worried about you and would like some immediate communication or blog action to reassure me that the last 3 weeks haven't been wasted and you have been making progress. Please don't leave it; I don't want to have to phone home in the holidays.

WARNING/ REMINDER to all of you with case studies still to complete - your 15 case study postings must be finished (as in LIVE up on your blog for me to see) for the 1st new tech lesson back after the holidays, when we will all be looking at them in the lesson.

QUESTION for some of you: how do you save a whole web page as an image/ jpg as some of you have done. I have tried the print screen key as well as copy paste etc but to no avail. can anyone help??

Be good, hope you're all having fun holidays (not too fun though) Ms Blackborow

Message from Ms Blackborow Mon 26th March

Hello happy bloggers! Hope you're all well and working hard. By the look of some of the blogs, it's clear that many of you are doing a great job and will have your case studies finished by the end of term. Some of you are playing a real catch up game though and need to make masses of progress this week.

I'm really sorry I didn't leave any individual comments last week, you will definitely get some this week plus answers to questions you have posted. Keeping the streets of North London free of criminals is a time consuming job, as I have realised over this last week!

Lessons this week
Lessons to continue as normal. If for any reason a cover teacher doesn't turn up, please carry on with the work as agreed. There is a dated register list in the class folder on my desk - could someone please take the register for each lesson. Natalie and Sameer/ Henry know where the keys are.

You should aim to have your case studies blog finished by the holidays, when you can get on with revision - there is no other set work from me. I will leave individual comments/ constructive criticism on your blogs throughout this week. If you've missed any lessons recently you are responsible for catching up, whether it's for ms brookes or for New tech, so no time to lose.

Past Paper: ipod questions plus essay plan

12C: well done to those of you who met today's past paper deadline; shame on you to those who didn't - you know who you are. I've heard nothing from those of you who didn't hand your work in. I will leave the handing in folder out on my desk for any late work; I will take this away on Weds so you've got until then. I will fill in referral forms for your form tutors then if there is still any outstanding work, but as long as the work is there for me on Weds you won't get into trouble.

12E: no dramas please: lets have all your work in on time, during Weds lesson as agreed. There is a folder on my desk marked 12E handing in folder; please place your work in there and tick your name off the list. PUT YOUR NAME ON YOUR WORK. All work handed in for marking must be TYPED.

Ok that's it for now. Ms Blackborow x x
